In family systems therapy, the Mother is the representative of Life itself. This hand-carved heart is an altar to that life—a tribute to the woman who carried me, the earth that sustains me, and the ancestral line that flows through me.
Eternal Love explores the cyclical nature of a mother’s devotion. Like Mother Earth, who awakens each spring with vibrant blooms after the silent, dark rest of winter, a mother’s love is a recurring miracle. It is a constant "yes" to life, even when the seasons are harsh.
The Palette of the Soul
Every tile in this mosaic was chosen to tell a specific chapter of our shared journey:
* Pinks & Soft Whites: The foundation of eternal love—the tenderness and softness that remains even in the quietest moments.
* Violets: A sacred nod to my grandmother, Viola. These tiles represent the ancestral lineage of the women who came before us, weaving their wisdom into our present.
* Iridescent Gray & White: These represent the "gray areas" of the soul—the karmic lessons and the blurry, complex moments inherent in the mother-daughter dynamic.
* Charcoal: This is the shadow work. The charcoal tiles represent the challenges we faced, but more importantly, they act as the "glue." They are the unwavering bond that holds the pieces together, proving that even the darkest moments contribute to the strength of the whole.
